CBD is a short way of saying Cannabidiol.
Cannabidiol has been around for a long time and many ancient cultures used it in their food supply.
CBD Comes from the hemp plant. The hemp plant is part of the cannabis plant family. The hemp plant has less than .3% TCH. A super low amount.
CBD works with your Endocannabinoid System or ECS system of your body. The ECS in your body has receptors that receive CBD and other cannabinoids like CBG, CBC, CBN as well as TCH. Your body has 2 type of receptors.
CB1 – These receptors are located primarily in the central nervous system and are largely responsible for mediating the effects of cannabinoid binding in the brain.
CB2 – These receptors are located mostly in the peripheral nervous system, and are associated with the immune system and inflammation response.
CBD / Cannabidiol is part of a group of Phytocannabinoids that are found in the hemp plant.
There are a large number of phytocannabinoids. Hemp plants have over 100 of them. And that is a lot more than most other plants and is part of what makes the hemp plant so special.
THC – Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is the main psychoactive cannabinoid. It’s responsible for the “high” of marijuana. The RX Theory CBD formula has no TCH. We are able to ship to any state where CBD is legal. (Which is all of them). THC isn’t bad (and the hemp plant has suck a small amount) so we sell full spectrum CBD products that do contain TCH in them. The ones we sell are really great companies and have fantastic products.
CBN – Cannabinol, or CBN, is produced from THC as the compound breaks down. It’s non-psychoactive, and is thought to be beneficial for improving sleep quality and reducing the effect of muscle pain and spasms. Our products have a lot of CBN up to 5%.

CBG – Cannabigerol is a precursor molecule that eventually develops into CBDA and THCA when the plant is fully grown, although our products do contain small amounts of CBG. It’s thought to be beneficial for relieving depression, high blood pressure, and more. Our products also have a lot of CBG. 5-10% in some of our formulas.
CBC – Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a minor cannabinoid found in small amounts in the industrial hemp plant and in our finished products. It’s thought to be beneficial for reducing pain and inflammation, and may also have anti-cancer properties. We have a lot of CBC in our products. Sometimes up to 20% of the product.
